About Maurichat.net
MauriChat.net was born on 12th April 2009.
The owner , an irc addict , created the website with the aim to provide free shell access to the world.It was the first of its kind in the Mauritian IRC History to provide such services. The project went on well for a while, reaching over 25 account activation per day.
It became so popular that other servers had to be added to the cluster to maintain stability and ensure services were first class.
Then in December 2009, Yashvir a.k.a Leo decided to separate the portal from the services provided.
This lead to the project FastShells.com which now runs as a semi-public shell server.
MauriChat.net was merged with GigaIRC Networks soon after and this lead to a stronger bond between both communities.
Since then, there has been constant updates, wonderful changes and the chat experience has been more enhanced.
So now folks, dont waste to much time reading infos ;-) connect and chat now.
